Senator Lindsey Graham Talks Truth

"Sen. Lindsey Graham, (R-S.C.) offered unusually blunt assessments of the fringe elements of his party and conservative media on Thursday, calling the popular and bombastic Fox News host Glenn Beck a "cynic" whose show was antithetical to American values."

"Only in America can you make that much money crying," Graham said of Beck. "Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party. He is aligned with cynicism and there has always been a market for cynics. But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers."

  1. The birthers, the tea baggers, the screamers, and the deathers continued extreme minority presence will become tiresome to mainstream America, if it has not already done so. To all the birthers in La, La Land, it is on you to prove to all of us that your assertion is true, if there are people who were there and support your position then show us the video (everyone has a price), either put up or frankly shut-up. I heard Orly Taitz, is selling a tape (I think it’s called “Money, Lies and Video tape”). She is from Orange County, CA, now I know what the mean when they say “behind the Orange Curtain”, when they talk about Orange County, the captial of Conspiracy Theories. You know Obama has a passport, he travel abroad before he was a Senator, but I guess they were in on it. In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away the rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”. I heard that she now wants to investigate the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).

  2. I’m not much of a fan of Glenn Beck (he should be replaced with a Buchanan, Gottfried or Napolitano) but if you have Lindsey Graham talking shit on you, you might be doing something right. The senator from South Carolina should stop wasting his time attacking men on the right (like his recent tirade about Ron Paul not running the Republican Party) and focus on the true enemies of liberty. The people that support bank bailouts, mass immigration, outsourcing middle-Americas jobs, unlimited executive power, and sovereignty ending treaties are the problem. But wait, liberal Graham supports all those things. Vigorously! He and the others like him are the ones that need to be purged from the party and with leadership like his why wouldn’t we be “cynical” about America’s future.
And to Paul, call them what you will but the “tea baggers” are genuine Americans that care about the direction of the country. I went to one in Philadelphia and the people there weren’t carrying the enemy’s flag or violently “protesting” (like what happens when the left rallies), they just wanted to be heard. Is it ok for Code Pink to try to shut down debate on an issue or just town hallers? The more the media demonizes this group and calls them radicals the more support they are going to get. Also equating Republicans with WACO is just ridiculous, but if regular Americans get pushed to far by left wing zealots there will most likely be more Ruby Ridges. And I’m sure the government would give the same shoot-to-kill orders as last time and then use our tax money to compensate the families of the murdered.

  3. You're obviously very gifted and I wish you had entered your comment with one of the services so I could read some of your stuff. Please feel free to plug your blog in one of these comment boxes and I will put it under clickable links on the right.
I have a very good friend and he's as far right as they come, I'm guessing similar to your politics and he lusts after Pat Buchanan. I can't understand why. He must enunciate the right's viewpoint loudly and correctly. I've watched Pat for must be 30 years and he just always seemed like a smart guy on the right who knew his stuff and was very passionate about his points. Sure, his racism streaks came out once in a while, when he and his nutty sister would get together, you would just sigh and say, it's time to take eccentric Uncle Pat home. The thing that sets Buchanan apart from the others is that he's not a monster. He's not scary. He doesn't rant and rave like a lunatic. He doesn't cry. He truly believes what he says, unlike many of the frauds in right-wing broadcasting.
Rush Limbaugh went on one of the morning shows last week, Today Show, I think and completely said up front it's all about the benjamins and ratings. He says what he says to get you guys riled up. He loves it when some msnbc show does a piece on how crazy he is. He doesn't love it because he thinks some left wingers will start listening but he thinks it will make right wingers listen more, and shake their fists in the air pumping "yeah, that's right! Rush speaks the truth!"
You said you weren't much of a fan of Beck, I'm not either. But if Rush has 25% belief integrity in his show, Beck has almost zero. Salon.com did a very in-depth, balanced, 3-part piece on Beck last month. I strongly suggest people who love him and hate him read the very long piece. Gives you incite into where Beck's been and where he's going. His is a pure act, right down to the Vick's Vaporub on his eyes to cry (see the video on youtube).
About your comments, Ron Paul does not run the republican party. He lost the primary. He ran as a libertarian. Funny how you can just switch parties. He's got a lot of things going for him but I'm pretty sure he's not going to get the majority. Your next thought though to focus on the true enemies of liberty. I hope you're not one of those Republicans who cannot accept the legitimacy of a democratic congress and presidency. We the people, MORE of us voted for Obama and dems in congress. You should work your very hardest to change the political landscape in the next two elections, but don't de-legitimize the previous two. You go on to mention about people that support bank bailouts and further say UNLIMITED EXECUTIVE POWER. The easier one of these is of course George Bush and Hank Paulson - The Original BankBailouters. But for you to say Obamas guilty of expanding executive power, you need to take a second look. In the history of this country George Bush, his guilty of crimes Vice President, and their cadre of lawyers sought to usurp all sense of balance between the 3 branches of government and really make it as though the Executive Branch held almost unquestionable power. I HOPE that you come back at me and say you protested Bush over this.
